Since the first report in 1963 I have continuously endeavoring to study according to development of ideal transrectal radial scanning probe to the prostate, in 1978, successed the development of practical apparatus of wide dynamic range that can be diagnose the disorder of prostate by means of transverse tomography not only capsular echoes but internal echo. 　
And then I have applied the new trans-rectal linear electronic scanner. 　
By this examination I can obtained the static sagittal tomography of prostate, seminal vesicle and bladder, further more could be observe the movement of bladder neck. 　
This real time imaging method is not merely used to diagnosis but biopsy of prostate and cryogenic surgery, and it appeared the high clinical value.
