This paper describes on the echographic findings of malignant breast tumor in less than 2 cm in diameter. The criteria for the echographic diagnosis of breast cancer have been irregular tumor contour, irregular inside echoes, diminished posterior echo and halo.
The 14 breast cancer, with have been confirmed by pathology, have been studied with the criteria described above on the diagnostic accuracy. The diagnostic accuracy with echography has been 78.6% in this series.
As the results, with the high resolution echography by 7.5 MHz polymer transducer, the diagnostic accuracy of the breast cancer in less than 2 cm in diameter has been found still unsatisfactory.
