In all digestive organs, liver, gall bladder and pancreas are suitable objects for sonic mass screening. But, the most applicable target organ is liver, because of social needs and present circumstances of sonic screening. Nowadays, sonic examination should be adopted in secondary screening of hepatic cancer.
For the screening, the full automatic equipment is desirable. By the way, the combination of linear electronic equipment and video tape recorder will serve our present purpose. The recorded images should be able to be reviewed clearly by high speed in three times.
Finally the standard combination of hard copies for liver screening was proposed. It is composed of every four divided sheets, that is eight figures: (1) left and right portal vein in right subcostal scan; (2) two intercostal scans including right hepatic dome; (3) right and left hepatic edge; (4) two figures of special interesting finding. Also, the possibility of sonic automatic diagnosis is described.
