After careful consideration, a definition of ultrasonics in medicine is proposed. The definition is: Ultrasonics in medicine is a composite research system consisting of clinical medicine, basic medicine and medical technology for ultrasound, in close cooperation between these three categories, and includes all the medical activity as regards to ultrasound.
