キーワード : Pulmonary arteriovenous fistula, Color Doppler imaging
We used color doppler imaging in diagnosing two pulmonary arteriovenous fistula (PAVFs). One PAVF was delineated by preoperative intercostal scanning, and thus was readily diagnosed. In both PAVFs, operative color doppler imaging clearly detected the fistulas, afferent and efferent vessels, and enucleation of fistulas was performed without complications under ultrasonic guidance. Because of its safety and ability to provide blood flow imaging in two-dimensional real-time, this procedure will be useful not only in preoperative diagnosis but also in operative diagnosis and guidance.
