An Analysis of Internal Echo in Breast Tumor by Histogram Pattern

1. Echographic condition (gain, STC, gamma and relief) was decided to take originl echogram in every cases of breast tumor in my clinic. Based on this original echogram, internal echo level in breast tumor has been analysed by histogram pattern. 2. The shape of histogram in carcinoma was like the "percipice". On the contrary, the shape of histogram in fibroadenoma was like "mountain". Therefore, the analysis of internal echo level by histogram pattern was the most usefull method to diagnose benign or malignant tumor. 3. The central avarage of shades of grey in internal echo levels was 1.83 and standard deviation was ±1.51 in 30 cases of breast carcinoma. On the other hand, the central avarage of shades of grey was 6.80 and standard deviation was ±2.86 in 51 cases of fibroadenoma. The width of histogram was 12.50 and standard deviation was ±5.16 in cases of carcinoma. On the other hand, the width of histogram was 21.23 and standard deviation was ±5.56 in cases of fibroadenoma. Therfore, internal echo level of fibroadenoma was higher than that of carcinoma and width of histogram in fibroadenoma was wider than that of histogram in carcinoma. The difference of internal echo levels and width between carcinoma and fibroadenoma was cleaely observed.
