A 65 year-old woman with a cystic lesion in the liver was presented. Ultrasonogram showed a
cystic lesion 14.7 cm in diameter with linear septums and a high echoic mass. The cyst wall was
partially thickend. CT showed a large cystic mass in the liver. The wall of the cyst was enhanced
by contrast study. Angiogram showed a hypovascular mass. Cystadenocarcinoma was suspected
and aspiration cytology was performed under the real-time ultrasonic guidance. But the cytology
revealed no atypical cell.
Histological examination of the echogenic mass in the cystic lesion was benign granulation.
