Color kinesis is a new technology for analysis of left ventricular wall motion by two-dimensional echocardiography based on acoustic quantification. This technique uses integrated backscatter data that identifies samples that change from blood to tissue or from tissue to blood during sequential acoustic frames to detect endocardial motion in real time automatically. Each frame that has changed from the preceding frame is marked with a single hue. The colors accumulate frame by frame throughout systole, resulting in a color overlay that is superimposed on the two-dimensional echocardiographic image. These color overlays are genegrated in real time, and the display is updated continuously. Here we evaluated the concordance between an experienced and inexperienced observer in the evaluation of left ventricular wall motion using color kinesis and two-dimensional echocardiography. Concordance between the beginner using color kinesis and the experienced observer using two-dimensional echocardiography was significantly higher than that between the beginner and an experienced observer using two-dimensional echocardiography alone (p
