We evaluated the clinical utility of ultrasonic color Doppler imaging in the diagnosis of renal tumors, emphasizing the differentiation of renal cell carcinoma (RCC) and angiomyolipoma (AML). Maximum velocity (Vmax) and resistive index (RI) of blood flows in renal tumors were determined in 74 cases of RCC and 7 cases of AML. Vmax values in RCC differed significantly from those in AML.
