Many imaging modalities are currently available for the investigation of solid cystic tumor (SCT) of the pancreas. We present three cases of SCT of the pancreas, in which color Doppler sonography showed absence of intratumoral blood flow and no sign of vascular invasion. Although these were negative findings, they helped in differentiating SCT from vascular-rich islet cell tumor or pancreatic carcinoma, which usually shows vessel involvement.
