The echocardiographic findings in a case (15 years, Male) of clinically diagnosed hypoplasia of the right ventricular myocardium are reported.
Diastolic opening, moreover remarkable prolonged opening of the pulmonary valve, paradoxical motion of the interventricular septum and the thin walled right ventricle are described by M-mode echocardiogram. In addition, normal location of the tricuspid valve, huge right atrium and ventricle are described by two-dimensional echocardiogram. The echocardiograms corresponded to the findings of the right ventriculogram.
Comparison with reported ecocardiographic findings in Ebstein's anomaly suggest that the echogram may help to
differentiate these entities.
