　A new method named "Intrarectal Water Balloon Technique" for the transabdominal ultrasonography to pelvic lesions is reported. Using this technique, posterior acoustic window could be formed more reliably than with the “Water Enema Technique" which was already reported elsewhere. The characteristics of this technique are as follows.;
　1) Wide imaging field can be displayed by using "Water Balloon.
　2) A space-occupied lesion in the pelvis is imaged more clearly, especially when the surface of a lesion ditectly contacts with the "Water Balloon.
　3) This technique can be carried out with ease, cleanliness and yet little trouble.
