　The utility of ultrasonography in non-Hodgkin's lymphoma of the head and neck was demonstrated with clinical findings, process and therapeutic effect in 4 cases. Comparing therapeutic effect and ultrasonic findings of lymphoma which was found in face and neck region, the solid pattern at high gain showed more response to radiation and chemotherapy than that of solid pattern at low gain. Moreover, tumours occurred in the face showed more irregular margin and strong internal echoes than that of tumours in the neck region.
　Changes in the size and nature of tumours could be observed by serial echography following treatment. In most of the cases, there was no evidence of malignancy after chemotherapy and radiation except in one case which showed strong internal echoes, but pathological findings revealed hyalinized degeneration.
　As I have mentioned above, ultrasonic findings were very useful to know the clinical process and therapeutic effect of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
